You choose what you want to pay based on what you feel our rescue efforts and Spud's companionship means to you! 6/19/14: SPUD'S PROFILE PIC SHOWS WHAT A GREAT IMPROVEMENT HE HAS MADE IN ONLY 1 WEEK. HIS OTHER BIO PIC SHOWS THE HORRIBLE CONDITION THAT HE CAME TO US IN...HE WILL BE READY FOR ADOPTION IN THE VERY NEAR FUTURE IF HIS RECOVERY CONTINUES TO GO THIS WELL..OH AND BY THE WAY, NOW THAT HE IS FEELING BETTER, HE HAS SHOWN US WHAT A HAPPY AND LOVING PUP HE REALLY IS! HE WOULD MAKE A GREAT FAMILY DOG! Spud was found dumped behind a restaurant scavenging for food near a dumpster. He is in terrible condition. Spud is estimated by our vet to be about 4 months old and weighs 23 pounds as of June 13, xxxx. He has an enormous abscess to his neck area which is currently draining and being treated. He also is suffering from a very bad case of demodex-a non-contagious, inherited type of mange that we are also treating. This poor boy was loaded with hook worms and was very pale when we took him in. He looked so sad and so hopeless! We intend to change his life around and get him happy and healthy. He will find that forever home where he will never have to experience such neglect and mistreatment again. Spud appears to be a bulldog mix and is friendly despite his rough start and prior bad treatment by people. Because of his condition, we have not been able to vaccinate him yet and not sure when the vet will OK a neuter. We will update him when we are able to provide these things for him. Spud's adoption fee will be (you choose) to assist us with covering his cost of care and his new family will probably have to continue treating his skin condition until he is completely resolved-which could take some time. We hope that someone out there hears about Spud and wants to give him a second chance and a new lease on life! He deserves love and proper care and he will pay you back ten fold. Spud knows that he is not pretty now BUT given the proper care, he will blossom and be the best dog and friend that you could have! Spud will do well in any home!
