Meet Captain! A Handsome, Friendly Boy Searching for his Forever in Chiefland, Florida For Sale

Captain is approx 5-6 years old and has been in rescue for the last 3 years. We have been trying desperately to find him a forever home with no luck. This dog is simply AWESOME! He is so easy going, loves kids and gets along well with other dogs. We are not sure how he would do with cats so we don't recommend them. You can do anything with this boy and he takes it all in stride! At some point before he found us (he was a stray), he must have been hit by a car and the injury had healed itself because one of his hind legs is a bit atrophied and he does not use it all of the time however, this does not slow this boy down one bit!! He was also heartworm positive when we got him but is now, we are happy to report, heartworm free!!Captain loves to ride and has been crate trained. We can't understand why this boy can't find his forever home-we have even drastically reduced his adoption fee to try to help him find a family to love...to no avail :( If we did not have so many dogs already, we would gladly keep him. I can honestly say, he is one of THE best dogs (all around) who we have had the pleasure of having in our lives (and we have been around A LOT of dogs)! Please do not be intimidated by his breed type....he is gentle, loving and carefree! Consider adopting Captain-he has been neutered, vetted (has 3 year rabies and is good until xxxx), is on heartworm prevention and flea control and has been microchipped. Someone will be extremely lucky to add this handsome fella to their life!
